Programs for Children of Degussa Employees
In keeping with the idea of becoming a truly "multinational company", Degussa is using its global presence to give its employees' children the opportunity to discover other countries and cultures in the case of other employees' families.

High School Scholarship Program
The Degussa scholarship offers students between the ages of 16 and 18 (at the date of departure) in grades 10, 11 or 12/or in the last years of high school the opportunity to study for one school year in another country. The precondition is that one of the parents must work at Degussa.
In 2006 Degussa will award six scholarships for the following destinations:
- Argentina
- China
- Germany
- Russia
- UK
- USA

New Horizons - International Vacation Exchange
In 2006, Degussa is running its international vacation exchange program for the second year running. The program is open to all children of Degussa employees, provided that they are aged between 14 and 18 on the departure date.
This year, 8 children of Degussa China employees were selected to exchange families. Between end of June and August 2006, these children – 4 from Shanghai, 3 from Qingdao and 1 from Nanning – will be travelling to meet the exchange students with whom they are partnered and live with the host families in Germany, Belgium and USA.
After two to three weeks, the student pairs will return to spend the rest of the summer break with the other family. |
